Letter to My Children (November 25, 2021)

Let’s Start at the Beginning – A Revisit (4/11/21)

Dear Children,

It's Thanksgiving morning. Some of the family are headed to their deer stands, as the sun is creeping over the horizon. Cold outside. We are headed to Aunt Jackie's later for dinner. Thinking of you all. The fun we had on our thanksgivings. Usually at our house, with Grammas and Grampas, and whomever else of the extended family, we could fit in. Lots of good pies and turkey and laughter. Jonathan hunting, Josh busy helping Jon or dad, the girls helping with the cooking and setting up the table. Trans-Siberian orchestra music (or whatever you or I put on) playing….

Later in the day, after hugs and kisses goodbye to the members of our family, crashing in the living room with It’s A Wonderful Life movie playing. More pumpkin pie and a nice fire in the fireplace. Whew. Lots of love and laughter and work. But all worth it. And you are all worth my love and time and effort. And always will be. I love you.
