Letter to My Children (June 30, 2024)

Dear Jonathan, Sarah, Josh, and Christina,

Kids, I was sent this clip by dear friends in Virginia. Formerly members of Calvary Temple in Sterling Virginia, they too have suffered at the hands of Pastor Scott and church leadership.

Of course, we watched it, and have sent it all around here for folks to see. The comment made by our dear Virginians was “….it’s wild how all these cults follow the same sinister playbook…disgusting! Also, the pastor’s name is Robert from California. It’s like these evil cult leaders just talk and copy each other.” (The documentary’s on Netflix. It’s called “Dancing for the Devil: The 7M Tik Tok Cult.”)

You know that I believe Calvary Temple is a church being run by a wolf in sheep’s clothes. He devours the sheep. He scatters the sheep. He is an unfaithful shepherd. The Lord describes these men in Jeremiah 23:1, 50:6, 2:8, 12:10;Ezekiel 34:7, 34:9, 34:5, 34:2-10;Zechariah 11:16-17, 11:18, 11:9, 10:2-3, 11:3, 11:5. But most folks consider it a cult. Either way, it’s bad.

I love you, miss you so much. Always will be here for you. No matter what you’ve done or what you’ve become……come home.
