#1 Dear Jonathan, Sarah, Joshua and Christina,
I will number these next letters to you. I have grown tired of lies and innuendo put out by the church. For awhile these will document stories given me over the years of fighting for you. Which normally would be shared privately by parents to their kids if deemed necessary, not publicly. When you no longer are isolated from me, I will not share publicly.
Lets begin with youth pastor of Calvary Temple Church in Sterling, Virginia. Jeff Heglund. He appears to be a nice guy. Works with teenagers and young adults, and a teacher in the christian school. His mom, Carolyn told me that her son Jeff once gave her a 3 page letter of accusations written by himself. If she didn’t sign it and repent to him she would be disciplined. I asked the contents and if they were true. She said it wasn’t true, but had no choice but to agree. (Meaning that pastor Jeff was told to do this by his senior pastor Star Scott.) Does Pastor Jeff teach this in his youth group, or in his school classes?
The point of this short story, and other indelicate things regarding her son, is why the heck is a son telling his mom in a letter to repent or be disciplined? Discipline as in putting away from her family. Is this a type of blackmail? She was afraid when sharing this story. She is his mom. She said the accusations referred to her personality and home. Mmhmm. This was inappropriate and not the way Jesus teaches us to deal with one another. Galatians 6:1-10 “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself……” Please look it up and read the rest.
A final note: Carolyn told me that if I ever repeated this story, she would deny it. Because it would get her in trouble with leadership. I am sorry Carolyn. Am so tired of covering up for people who are using my children.
