Letter to Christina (April 5, 2024)

Dear Christina,

I love you child of mine! Not sure who took this picture, Gramma or dad, but it was while we were at Gramma’s visiting. You are holding her dog. I was just visiting with Grampa last week. We talked of the old farm days for about an hour. Took over a peach pie, because he asked for another pie last time I saw him. Looked at Josh’s resume, pictures, and remembered Gramma. He always asks how my dad is doing, and we talk of my mom’s relatives, some of whom Grampa knew years ago.

I am happy to hear you are expecting a baby at the end of summer. And Josh is expecting his third little one. Dad was asking how my trip to Virginia went, and I filled him in. We are in agreement regarding any information regarding you children. I tell him what I know. He tells me what he knows. We pray for you to return and be part of our lives (and the rest of our huge family).

Read this verse today, writing it to you Christina. Hugs and kisses from mom. 1 Corinthians 1:18-19, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” Come home, call, text, or write!
