Letter to Joshua (March 1, 2020)

Dear Joshua,

Welcome to your sweet little baby Maggie. I love those chubby cheeks. Dad saw her and said ‘She looks like Josh!’ So I got out the baby book. Yours. And the earliest picture of you is at two weeks old on the front porch. I love looking at it, your fat baby arm hugging mine. Gretel with her flowers. Then I found a picture of you at 2 months old, sitting on my lap. Oh how I enjoyed you! Ate like a champ, a hasty eater who lost a bit on the burp! But you fattened right up. You were an ounce heavier than your little Maggie.

Miss you so much son. Please tell Olivia I pray she has a speedy recovery. I called and texted as soon as we were sent the picture. But you did not respond. I cried.
