Letter to My Children (September 3, 2019)

Dear Children,

Speaking of the old yellow farmhouse, I thought you’d like to see an old picture of it. As it was when you were kids. Remember, dad picked the color, and I painted most of it, except the highest portion, where dad and Uncle Patrick finished up. Christina and Josh and Jonathan's bedrooms were in the front above the porch. Jonathan even climbed out those small windows a few times and climbed down off the porch roof! The lilacs were perfect in spring. We had a driveway lined with purples, and whites. And the peonies and baby’s breath and tulips and daffodils were so pretty. You had plenty of flowers to choose from when picking little bouquets for mom. I love you all dearly. Call and come home.
