Letter to Sarah (January 10, 2022)
Happy Birthday Sarah Eileen Fitch Kain,
I texted you this morning, after calling to remind dad of your birthday. Then after stoking the fire in the wood stove, came upstairs to find some photos of you to put in this post. Here you are with Grampa Beck. But it was for Jonathan’s 2nd birthday.
Here you are at 5 years old, swimming in Meredith’s pond. Meredith loved you kiddo’s. She was often stopping by to bring us a book, or audiotapes of good stories. Remember Laddie, or Freckles? She gave you kids the first BBC version of Chronicles of Narnia.
Look at you! Sarah riding (Frank?) at Aunt Melody’s. A few years later, Melody and the girls brought up Shyboy for you as a gift! Melody was my midwife and a dear friend. She delivered you at home on a Sunday afternoon.
Here you are with some school friends. You attended Castile Christian School, and here you’re dressed up for the Civil Air Patrol Ball. Amy and Valerie also attended I am thinking.
Here at a Fitch family Christmas gathering. That look on your face was worth a hundred words! Love you my Sarah Beara….Dad does too. Your grandparents do. Your cousins do. Your old friends do. And none of us see or talk to you anymore. You have cut us all off. Please don’t do this anymore Sarah. We won’t be around forever.
Xo Love Mom
