Repost | MCTTBC’s First Mash-up: Tactics (5/28/15) and Leaving (1/19/23) in One Post

[Reposted by permission from the My Calvary Temple Tactic's Blog Commentary. Be sure to check out the links in the commentary]

As usual, I have been pondering and praying over what the Lord would have me write in my next blog post. When I woke up one of these past mornings, the Lord gave me a clear answer:

Do a Mash-up! How brilliant is that idea!?!

Before I delve in, the Merriam-Webster dictionary defines Mash-up this way:

something created by combining elements from two or more sources.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mash-up

For my first “Mash-up” MCTTBC blog post I will be joining the May 28, 2015, Tactics of Calvary Temple with Leaving Calvary Temple’s January 19, 2023, post along with some comments from me (of course).

I’ll begin with the Tactics’ post, Unknown and Yet Well Known – 2 Corinthians 6:9. Tactics, an anonymous blogger (most likely a Calvary Temple insider AND the reason why I write a blog in the first place) who undoubtedly faced demands from Calvary Temple leadership and members to reveal his or her identity, wound up writing this brilliant post from May 2015. This was Tactics’ answer to these demands:

A thought for comments sent regarding my unknown person. Must one be known to warn the unruly, unclean, unbeliever, uncircumcised, uncomely, unfaithful, ungodly, unholy, unlawful, unstable, unworthy, unwashed, unsavory, unstopped, unrighteous, unreasonable, unmerciful, unseemly, unwise, unlearned, unjust and unprofitable? Isn’t the important thing what God has to say? Such as being unblameable, undefiled, understanding, undone, unfeigned, unrebukeable, and unreproveable?

Tactics of Calvary Temple, May 28, 2015

Tactics, in a masterfully written piece, told Bob Scott…NO!

As of today – to my knowledge – no one has ever figured out who is behind the Tactics of Calvary Temple blog. I certainly haven’t, and believe me, I’ve tried.

Continuing with my MCTTBC Mash-up, I now present a blog post dated January 19, 2023, from my fellow blogger, who like Tactics, is also anonymous – Leaving Calvary Temple.

Before going further, I would like to point out that while both Tactics and Leaving are not known, Bob Scott’s victims are NOT unknown, and are NOT nameless. They are known. These are real people who have been maligned, slandered, shunned, ex-communicated, cast out, and cast off. Men, women, and children; family and friends; neighbors and co-workers, each one experiencing long-lasting and in some cases, irreparable harm and hurt.

Leaving addresses this post directly to Bob Scott:

To Star Scott,

As pastor of Calvary Temple in Sterling, VA, and nearing the end of your life, I notice you have been talking of your past much more frequently these days. It seems your thoughts have turned to the legacy you will leave behind.

A recent tragic event took place that catapulted your legacy to the forefront of my thinking. The blog Dear Calvary Temple received a comment from a Calvary Temple member’s step father telling of the tragic loss of his wife. It is also recounted on this blog. Their story made me realize you might be wondering how you will be remembered in years to come.

Every family and individual listed below has been part of your life’s work. Many have experienced the destruction of their family as a direct result of your teachings, divorces at your encouragement, loss of relationships with friends or family members, or spiritual abuse. In addition, there are some who have experienced sexual, emotional and physical abuse.

As you have said before, there are THOUSANDS who have either fled your church, or been ordered to leave. All have been shunned by those still remaining in Calvary Temple. You have instructed your congregation to cut off relationship with those who have left…. because “they are already dead.”

(How did it affect you when you learned that the woman you had pronounced “already dead” took her own life just weeks later? How did Patrick, her own son, feel? What does he tell his children that have lost their beloved grandmother? Does he wonder if his mother might still be alive if she had not had a death sentence pronounced over her?)

In addition to those have left or been put out of your church, your legacy will be remembered by every member of your congregation that still remains. They will remember the family and friends they have cut off at your command. Yes, you have a legacy and it will continue on past your time on this earth.

It may have become difficult to remember so many that have been part of your history, so let me help you out.

The following is a partial list of those who have left Calvary Temple through the years and would certainly like to talk with you of how you have affected their lives, your legacy. Though some might not want to talk to you directly, rest assured most talk with one another frequently. And they talk to their neighbors and co-workers, their family and friends.

Again, this is a partial list. There are many, many others. Multiple friends, family members, and extended family not mentioned here that have spent years suffering the consequences of your teachings.   There are many who continue to pray for you to humble yourself and repent. It’s not too late.  But time is short and you should not hesitate.

Leaving Calvary Temple, January 19, 2023

As Leaving said, this unfortunately is only a partial list, and I must reiterate that this isn’t just about the people who have left CT, this is about everyone this cult affects. EVERYONE. Family and friends. Mothers and fathers. Brothers and sisters. Grandparents; cousins, aunts, and uncles. Co-workers, neighbors, and many communities.

Calvary Temple dwindles in size, and Bob Scott’s list of destruction grows. Calvary Temple is a stain and a blot, and his wake of victims seems never-ending, ever expanding.

But God!

While it is important to continue to shine God’s light on the darkness of Calvary Temple and continue to warn and speak out, I must reiterate that  I will continue to pray for all of Bob Scott’s victims, including the people who are still in the cult of Calvary Temple, blinded by his twisted doctrine and putrid application. He is authoritarian at best, and an anti-Christ at worst.

Only God can set any one of us free.

While God is working, My fellow bloggers and I will continue to be Watchmen on the Wall, and we will continue to warn.

Keep your distance from Bob Scott and Calvary Temple, located in Sterling, VA. Never forget that members of Calvary Temple are still under an active investigation into child sexual abuse by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), culminating in one arrest and conviction to date.

To Bob Scott: Bow the knee, Bob. Publically admit what you’ve done. Be a man and accept the consequences. Jesus is faithful and just to forgive you. BUT. You must take yourself off of your man-made pedestal. HUMBLE YOURSELF. I’d advise you to do this sooner rather than later.

To my readers and residents of Loudoun County: There are many wonderful churches in the area, specifically Cornerstone Chapel, in Leesburg, VA.

If you value your family and the lives of your children, if you value your own life – STAY AWAY FROM CALVARY TEMPLE. Please. Do not let your name be added to Bob Scott’s ever-increasing list.

Finally – if you are reading this and you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, today is the perfect day to call on Jesus and be Saved; to know where you will spend eternity is the most precious gift. Take a look at my Good News page. Knowing Jesus IS The Greatest Gift ever!
